Celtic health insurance for individuals and families works through three types of plans: Economical Basic Health Coverage, Comprehensive Health Plan, and an HSA Qualified Health Plan. The following is a synopsis of the individual health insurance plans offered by Celtic.
- Celtic Basic, a PPO plan which offers economical rates with a strong set of covered benefits, such as two doctors office visits per year for a $30 copay, preventive care, prescription medications, and in certain states coverage for vision and eye care. This plan also offers the benefit of a wellness program to promote healthy living, and the option of either a 70/30% or 80/20% coinsurance paired with a variety of deductible options. The Celtic Basic plan is an optimum selection for those who are comfortable paying coinsurance and copays for visits, an annual deductible, and a low monthly premium to ensure they are receiving a core set of benefits.
- CeltiCare Preferred, a comprehensive health plan for individuals and families that can adapt to your preferences and personal needs. This type of plan offers a range of coverage choices for individuals between the ages of 19 and 64 and their families, with deductibles from $1,000 to $10,000. Covered benefits through this plan include preventive care, vision (in certain states), and prescription medications, and you have the ability to choose coinsurance of either 80/20% or 100%. Comprehensive plans from Celtic can feature add-ons like their Prescription Drug Option, Supplemental Accident Option, and term life insurance in some states. CeltiCare Preferred is divided into three plans: Select PPO, which includes a doctor and hospital network; Any Doc PPO, a hospital network with the freedom to select your own physicians and specialists; and Managed Indemnity, a traditional plan with out a network and leaves the policy-holder in control of the doctors they wish to see.
- CelticSaver HSA, the health savings account (HSA) qualified plan from Celtic, which uses a high deductible. These plans allow for increased direction from the policy-holder over their medical spending, and can be very beneficial when planning for the future. The funds in an HSA are tax-free and may only be used for qualified health care costs, such as services not covered by your plan or other instances of cost-sharing. Individuals can choose from deductibles from $1,500 – $5,000, and $3,000 – $10,000 for families, and either 80/20 or 100% coinsurance after the deductible has been met. There is a choice of two high deductible plans from Celtic: HSA PPO, which includes a doctor and hospital network and the ability to utilize in-network discounts; and HSA Managed Indemnity, which is not tied to a network and the individual can choose their own providers entirely.
